A HERA Nexus truth layer · by Planckchron

One word tells you
what's real.

Planckchron's mark appears on a photo, a video or a campaign speech, then one word at the top-right: REAL, AI, ALTERED, TRUTH, FALSE. Tap the word and it tells you why in a sentence a six-year-old can read, then takes you to the real thing: the original photo, the genuine article, or the fact-checker who made the call.

Campaign season

Speeches, stamped as they're spoken

A campaign, newsroom or platform adds a speech once. Verifyd checks whether the footage is real, altered or AI, and matches every factual claim in it against published fact-checks. From then on the stamp appears on every copy, everywhere: the campaign's page, YouTube, X, news embeds, and in people's browsers. As each checked claim is spoken, the word changes: TRUTH, FALSE, DISPUTED.

TRUTH and FALSE come only from the published rating of a named fact-checker, linked from the stamp. Verifyd never judges a political claim itself, and every speaker gets the same rules.

“Thank you all for coming tonight…”
The stamp changes with what is being said.

Every stamp leads somewhere

A warning on its own leaves you guessing. Verifyd finds the genuine version and takes you there.

Impostor news site

The same story on the real site

Look-alike addresses like swapped letters, extra words or foreign characters are caught. Verifyd searches the genuine outlet for the headline and opens the real article.

Old photo, new story

Where the picture first appeared

Each picture gets a fingerprint that survives resizing and recompression. Verifyd finds the earliest page that carried it, dated, so you can see the original context.

False or disputed claim

The published fact-check

Claims are matched against fact-checks from established organisations, then against independent sources. You go straight to the ruling and its evidence.

AI-generated picture

The source, or real coverage

If the picture was lifted from somewhere, you go there. If it was made from nothing, you get real reporting on the same subject instead.

Verified capture

The signed record

Pictures carrying C2PA Content Credentials open their public record: who captured it, with what, and every edit since.

Anything else

The full report

Click i on any badge for every signal checked, with links to each source. Nothing is a black box.

Built on evidence, not vibes

Green is earned only with cryptographic proof. Everything else is reported for what it is, with the source.

For publishers

Your photographers already sign their pictures. Show readers. One script tag puts a verified badge on every credentialed photo, and it links to the signed record.

Questions

Can a badge be wrong?

Green requires a valid cryptographic signature from a trusted issuer, so a false green is very unlikely. Red and amber are based on declarations, detectors and published fact-checks, which can be mistaken. That's why every badge explains itself and links to its sources, and why most pictures get no badge at all: no signal is not a verdict.

Why do most images have no badge?

Most pictures online carry no Content Credentials and no AI declaration. Rather than guess, Verifyd stays quiet. Turn on gray badges in settings if you'd like to see them.

Does it slow pages down?

Images are checked as they scroll into view, in small batches, off the page's main thread. Badges sit on a separate layer, so the site's own layout is never touched.

Which browsers and phones?

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc and Vivaldi on desktop; Firefox on desktop and Android; Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad. On any phone you can also install the Verifyd app from this site and share photos and links to it from other apps, or tap once to check what you copied.

Can I check something without installing?

Yes. Paste an image, link or claim on the website.
